Who is an ideal candidate for Selling Your Screenplay Select Gold?

Someone who has written several screenplays.

This course is not for beginners. If you’ve never written a full feature length screenplay before, you should sit down and write a few scripts before you enroll in this program.

Absolute beginners will not get enough value out of this program to justify the expense. So please do NOT sign up if you haven’t written at least a screenplay or two already.

Someone who has at least 5-7 hours per week to devout to their writing.

No amount of coaching and mentoring can substitute for hard work. If you can’t commit at least five to seven hours per week to screenwriting, this program is probably not a good fit for you.

People who are ready to write a new script.

I know there will be people who want to polish their current script, and I’m open to that. However, I think the people who will get the most value out of this program will be people who are ready to work on something new so that I can guide them through the process of formulating a solid marketable concept. Too often screenwriters choose concepts that simply don’t have any real potential in the market place. No amount of notes and coaching can overcome this.

So… if you have a script you want to work on in this workshop, you can, however you’re encouraged to use the concept portion of the workshop to come up with new story ideas that might work better as a professional marketable screenplay.

People who need help with accountability.

One of the biggest things that schools and colleges provide is simple accountability. By enrolling in this workshop you will be expected to keep up with the curriculum. And the instructor will be checking in with you regularly to make sure that you do! Deadlines will be set and you will be gently prodded to keep up with them. So if you need additional accountability to keep your writing and being productive, this might be a great way to get that.
