Good post about how to write query letters at Writer Unboxed

by Ashley Scott Meyers on May 1, 2009

I try and read several other writing blogs.  I saw this post earlier in the week:

Help for a query hater

While the author is not a screenwriter, her pitch to a publisher is very similar to what screenwriters do when they send a query letter to a producer or director.  She breaks down her query letter and most of her comments apply to writing a screenplay query letter, too.

If you haven’t already read it, I highly recommend it.  Writing a great query letter is essential to getting your screenplay read, optioned, and produced.

If you haven’t read my post on how to write a screenplay query letter, you should check out, too, How to write a professional query letter for your screenplay.
